Here are the highlights of our Vikings recent 100km hike completed in under 21 hours. Immense achievements from all of the Viking men that were able to take part...some incredible stories along the way and FUN had by all. More amazing Viking memories being made.
Way of the Viking founder and creator Dan Gainsford was invited to speak on the excellent 'Different Hats' podcast hosted by the equally incredible Sam Thomas. They discussed Way of the Viking, why it was created and it's long term goal, modern masculinity and everything in between.

6 intrepid Viking members took on the challenge of hiking and wild camping the entire 102 miles of the South Downs Way in just 3 days. It eventually was completed in 48.5 hours with just one camp stop along the way. It was a brutal experience but a multitude of laughs and fun was also had along the way with well over 1000 GBP raised for the fantastic CALMzone charity.
Vikings Jim and Dan took on the English Channel. by kayak on what was the nicest day of the year. This turned out to be extremely fortunate as it led to the very best conditions for crossing and they managed to reach Boulogne from Dungeonness in just under 5 hours..which left time for a spot of moules et frites before heading home on the support boat.
It has been a great start to our current tribal battle . Currently the Berserker tribe has the momentum with victorious points 2 weeks on the trot. But Odin's Warriors will be keen to catch up this week.
There were 4 MVV's (Most Valuable Viking) in week one on maximum points and 5 in week 2. A phenomenal effort all round but a special mention to these guys who literally did not drop a single point!!
It has been a fantastic journey so far with some incredible results both physically and mentally from our Vikings....some huge life changes for some of our Vikings and they are reaping the benefits.
What a great experience was had by all ...
The infamous Fan Dance, part of the Special Forces selection process has broken many.........But our Viking men had trained hard for this and every one of them completed it in what has been described as the worst weather conditions seen in a very long time. Over 70mph gusts, snow, ice ...but with over 6000 GBP raised for Cancer Research (a cause very close to our Vikings hearts) there was no way we would be defeated. What a great achievement by all..and so grateful for the donations that have supported our event and made every painful step worthwjile .
With 24 Vikings ready to transform their physical and mental fitnesst and new features, including a weekly individual league table, this tribal battle promises to be the best one yet!!
